Overall, quite a nice experience. The food was decent and well presented. I like the idea of ordering on your phone, it's convenient and fast. At the entrance you decide if you want the bottomless option or the a la carte. We went for the former. You get to choose a max of 6 items from the sushi menu and 6 items from the 'hot meals'. Once you ordered, you have to wait 15 minutes before ordering again which is reasonable. The food comes to you directly. (They know your table from the uniqe QR code given at the begining). The other advantage of this is that you can always get what you want and the food it's made to order, fresh. In other buffets, you have to queue and many times find the dish that you want it's gone and so you have to come back and check etc. If there is one thing that disappointed me, was the price. 26.80 per adult, regardless of the time or day. 13 or similar to children below 120cm tall. The thing that disappointed me the most was the service charge. I only realised about this when we sat down at the table. I looked on their website and actually called to make a reservation and query the price and at no point it was mentioned. It's probably somewhere hidden in the TCs but that's not how it should be. Other than that nothing to complain about.
This restaurant offered either an all you can eat option for a set price, or 50% off of any food item on the menu. We opted for the 50% off option and had a great meal that was actually a solid value. Highly recommended. I wasn't in the mood for sushi, so I had some appetizers and the oyako don. All were excellent. The only thing that needs improvement is for the staff to not assume you've been there before and for them to explain the ordering process (online) as soon as you are seated.
Alright it’s a buffet style Japanese restaurant but also does ala carte. I was craving Japanese food so much and this place satisfies my craving! Although the sashimi were limited to 3 portions per person so in total I can only order 6 times for two of us. With the size of the sashimi cut I guess it is alright to justify this. Quite nice place to eat. Do come over when you are around St Albans area.
It is highly recommended restaurant, better then other branch I went before. Food is delicious served with fresh and hot. Kids very like the hot food. Staff is friendly and polite especially the manager. Will be come back again
Only my favorite sushi place. St. Albans one has the best atmosphere in my opinion out of all the other Sushimanias in England. I always go for the all you can eat option when I get my pay check. Staff are nice but don’t expect fine dining level of service. They have a wide selection of food and a reasonable time frame for you to finish. It was my first time at Sushimania St Albans and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and friendly service from all the team. Will definitely return. Highly recommend them.
Lovely Japanese restaurant 3 minutes walk from the centre of St Albans. You can either order from the a la cart menu at 50% off or go for eat as much as you like. We cannot eat that much so we always go for the a la cart menu. There is a 10% service charge added to the bill. The restaurant is modern and very nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly. The food is well presented, fresh and very nice. Highly recommended.
Food is really good. We were seated quickly and the food arrived quickly and tasted great. Will be going back again soon.
